What does data coverage mean?
Assess whether a number has enough source evidence for a decision and what reduces its reliability.
Updated: 24 August 2026
Before you start
- a selected result, product or period
Steps
- 1.Open the coverage panel.
- 2.Review source presence and record coverage separately.
- 3.Inspect estimates, missing mappings and delays.
- 4.Compare periods only when they have similar evidence scope.
Expected result
Coverage describes evidence scope, not probability or an accounting-grade score.
If something does not work
- High source presence does not guarantee coverage for every SKU.
- A new synchronization can lower a result by revealing additional costs.
