What does data coverage mean?

Assess whether a number has enough source evidence for a decision and what reduces its reliability.

Updated: 24 August 2026

Before you start

  • a selected result, product or period

Steps

  1. 1.Open the coverage panel.
  2. 2.Review source presence and record coverage separately.
  3. 3.Inspect estimates, missing mappings and delays.
  4. 4.Compare periods only when they have similar evidence scope.

Expected result

Coverage describes evidence scope, not probability or an accounting-grade score.

If something does not work

  • High source presence does not guarantee coverage for every SKU.
  • A new synchronization can lower a result by revealing additional costs.
